Below are listed some of our store policies.  Please read carefully.  

Online Purchases & Shipping of Firearms

To purchase from us online or over the phone, we must ship the gun to some one with a Federal Firearms License (FFL), it can be any gunshop, gunsmith, gunclub, etc. as long as they have a valid FFL. Just have the FFL of choice either fax (412-774-2588) or email (sales@joeletchenguns.com) us a copy of their license. We accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) at no extra charge, Cashiers check, or money orders.  To pay by credit card, you will have to give us a call.  Once we have received the FFL and payment, we will ship the gun and provide you with the tracking number.


Sales Tax

All sales in PA are subject to PA state sales tax.  

We may have to charge you your state's sales or use tax.  The list of states we have to charge sales tax in is ever changing, Please ask about your responsibility regarding your state sales tax.  

If no sales tax was collected on your purchase, your receiving FFL may charge it to you, or you may be required to remit use tax directly to your state or commonwealth.  Please note - some states have "notice
and reporting" requirements of transactions into their state.  As each state's requirements are different, we recommend contacting your state and/or tax professional for more information about any possible use tax obligations.

Return Policies


All Firearms sales are final.  We ask that you open your new firearm before transferring to inspect it.  If you received the wrong product, or it was not what you expected, please call us right away.  If you find the firearm is for some reason defective or not functioning properly, all new firearms are covered by their Manufacturer's Warranty. In most cases, it is best to send your firearm directly to the manufacturer for repair or adjustment, and we can help you contact them. Most manufacturers offer superior service, if you find a manufacturer un-cooperative with a legitimate warranty claim, call us and we will try to help. 

We inspect all new guns for defects and try very hard to send you a product you will love, but mistakes do happen, we are all human.  We will do our best to help make it right.  Please call with any questions regarding this policy before purchasing. 



Unused & Unworn clothing and accessories may be returned within 30 days with proof of purchase.  If no proof of purchase is available, store credit will be given at discretion of management based on current pricing.  Some items on closeout or deeply discounted may be final sale only (marked as such) and returns will not be accepted. Please call with any questions regarding this policy before purchasing. 

  • NEW GUNS - Firearms should be paid in full within 90 days of purchase date. 
  • USED GUNS - Firearms should be paid in full within 30 days of purchase date. 
  • A down payment of 20% of firearm price is required to initiate a layaway.
  • A restocking fee, 15% of firearm price, will be charged on all cancellations. Fee will be deducted from the amount paid and the balance refunded to customer.
  • Restocking fee reduced to 5% of purchase price if paid balance is transferred to a different firearm.
  • All Layaway firearms will remain at Joel Etchen Guns until paid in full.
  • Layaways follow all laws, regulations, and background check requirements for firearms purchases.
